WestConnex is Australia’s largest road infrastructure project, the WestConnex team at the Motorway Control Centre monitors the motorway 24 hours a day, seven days a week from the state-of-the-art motorway control centre in St Peters. This control centre is the centrepiece of the WestConnex project regularly hosts dignitaries from all over the county and the world.
The artwork titled “Connected Journeys” is a visual representation of our journeys on the motorways keeping us connected to country, the ocean and each other. The artwork features on two large walls within the Transurban Motorway Control Centre, with each wall acknowledging the country and surrounding waterways the motorway operates on and how it brings together all the parts of Sydney.
